[Anleitung] Wikipedia installieren 0.52[collison und haukap]

Neue Anleitung für Haukap's Wikipedia (1100MB)

Nach einigen Schwierigkeiten für manche User um die Installation von der unten genannten Anleitung
und weil ich die jetzt genannte Version auch mal ausprobieren wollte, mach ich mal hierzu eine Anleitung.
(Weniger eine Anleitung, weil das Programm erklärt sich fast von selbst.) Außerdem unterstützt nun diese Version (Haukap)
das Formatieren von Tabellen und sogar Bilder hab ich gehört.

Benötigte Dateien :

• wiki2touch
  
• Wiki2Touch_052
  

1. Als ersten Schritt also erst mal beide Dateien runterladen. Image may be NSFW.

2. Anschließend soll man die "Wiki2Touch_052.zip"-Datei entpacken und den Ordner
   
   "~\bin\iphone-ipodtouch\Applications\Wiki2Touch.app"
   
   aufs iPhone in das Applications Verzeichnis kopieren und natürlich rechte setzen (0755).
   
   Ebenfalls die Sprach-Datei im folgenden ordner
   
   "~\bin\iphone-ipodtouch\private\var\root\Media\Wikipedia\de"
   
   in den Iphone Ordner
   
   private\var\root\Media\Wikipedia\de
   
   (Ordner müssen eventuell erstellt werden) kopieren.

3. Nun ist das Wiki2Touch-Programm auf dem iPhone, es fehlt also nur noch die Artikel für Wikipedia:

Es ist eigentlich fast selbsterklärend.

1. Im ersten Schritt muss man den Dump von Wikipedia für die gewünschte Sprache runterladen (1100MB).
   
2. Danach wird der Dump mit dem "Indexer" für das Programm auf dem iPhone bearbeitet.
   
3. Als letztes muss die fertig bearbeitet Datei (articles_de.bin) auf das iPhone kopiert werden.
   

Alte Anleitung für Collison's Wikipedia (700MB)

• Kopier den Ordner "wp" (der Dump) in den Ordner /var/root. Das Kopieren dauert eine zeit lang, sie ist immerhin 800MB groß.
  
• Setze die Rechte der datein im wp ordner auf 0755
  
• Fertig!? Spaß haben, sich Bilden!

1. Download the files from http://collison.ie/wikipedia-iphone/
   
2. Extract the .zips
   
3. Place the Wiki app into /Applications, set permitions to 0755
   
4. Place the Folder " wp " in the Directory /var/root , the file transfer will take a long time!
   
5. Set Permitions of the wiki files to 0755
   
6. Place finger on icon on home screen, type in something to search for, and there you go...
   you just installed wikipedia on your ipod. I bet you're happy, arent you?
   

Problems I encountered and their solutions:

1. If the file extraction fails, it did for me the first time, just try to re extract it. If that fails re-download the file from
   http://collison.ie/wikipedia-iphone/ and just try again, thats what i had to do
   
2. If the file transfer fails, its most likely due to:
   a. the ftp program, so try a different one
   b. your ipod fell asleep, or locked itself, so make sure that dosent happen, also if you have extended prefs installed,
   set it to never lock/fall asleep
   c. random user input, that somehow caused a fault, sorry, i cant help you there
   
3. If the program crashes, its most likley due to:
   a. the folder " wp " is named wrong
   b. is uppercase, it has to be " wp " it CANT be " WP " or " Wp "
   c. or its in the wrong directory
   d. you forgot to set permitions to 0755 for the files
